Naldehra
A paradise for nature lovers, Naldehra is famous as one of the oldest golf courses in the country, located at a height of 2,200 m above sea level. An 18-hole course, it is considered as one of the most challenging in India. Originally designed by the British Viceroy, Lord Curzon, who was supposedly so taken with the beauty of the spot that he personally supervised the laying out of the nine-hole golf course, which was later expanded.
Naldehra is crowned by a magnificent grove of deodar trees and carpeted with a springing turf. The wide areas that form the iconic Alps-like topography of the region are home to some endangered species of fauna.One of the major attractions is the Sipi Fair in June, held annually, which is always a big draw for tourists and locals alike. The festival lends colour and animation to the scene and is attended by costumed villagers from all over the state.
The Mall
The Mall Road in Shimla, located in the heart of the town, is the main street that is lined up with a myriad of restaurants, clubs, banks, shops, post offices and tourist offices. At the same time, the place boasts of the other exciting attractions that it houses, such as the Scandal Point and Kali Bari Temple. One of the busiest and more commercial areas of Shimla till date, this stretch is a mini-world in itself. The Shimla Mall Road is the one stretch, that truly celebrates the spirit of the hilltown, its tourist rush and valleys and hills covered with houses and hotels. The charm and beauty of the Mall Road can be enjoyed by groups of friends, families and honeymooners a like.
Indian Institute of Advanced Study
A residential centre for higher education, the Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS), is located on Observatory hill – one of the seven hills of Shimla. Formed in 1964, this institute was formally inaugurated by Dr. S. Radhakrishnan – the former President of India on 20th October 1965.
The history of this learning centre is more than 100 years old. IIAS was originally built as home for Lord Duffein, who was the Viceroy of India during the years 1884 and 1888.
Henry Irwin, an architect in Public Works Department, designed the building. The use of grey stone and exotic Burmese teak gives this heritage building an exquisite look that mesmerises onlookers at the very first glance. A beautiful garden and well-stocked museum are also located within the campus.

JAKHU TEMPLE SHIMLA
Nestled amidst the vibrant beauty of the Shivalik hill ranges, Jakhoo Temple is an ancient Hanuman temple which offers a mystical vibe to the devotees of the “Pawan Putra”. One of the famous sightseeing places in Shimla, it has the world’s largest statue of God Hanuman, attracting holidaymakers of all ages apart from the Hindu community.
Overlooking the nearby town of Sanjauli, the surroundings of the Jakhoo Temple are complemented by amazing views that make the setting even more spectacular. Kufri
It is the starting point of treks to Fagu, Shimla, Manali and Rewalsar. Kufri, along with Chail and Shimla forms the famous Golden Triangle of Himachal Pradesh. Yearly winter sports festival is held here in February, which is a major attraction for the tourists. If you are into rides and adventure, Kufri Fun World fits the bill. It is an amusement park having a number of enjoyable rides for the kids. This park also features the world’s highest go – kart tract – which obviously includes the adults as well. If you are travelling to Kufri with kids, make sure that you do not miss out this park. It will definitely be the best part of your trip. A canteen is situated within a park to provide snacks for the tourists.
Mahu Nag Temple Karsog
The Temple of Dev Mahunag is situated at the valley of karsog which is in district Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. Arround the temple there are many attractive viewsfull of scenic beauty and abundance of apple orchards.
Dev Mahunag temple is amediable styled pahari temple and it is devoted to Lord Karna, who played very special role in Mahabharata, locally known as Mahunag. It is said that, whenever the devotees are in trouble and they askLord Karna for help, he metamorphoses himself into “MAHU” (Bee) and hastens to their help. The records of Mandi speak about the temple, which was constructed in 1664 by Raja Shyam Sen ,who was a great devout of Lord Karna.
Shikari Mata Temple
With the mercury rising in plains tourists are making a beeline to hills. Among the places attracting tourists is the famous tourist place Shikari Mata temple in Mandi district. A large number of tourists from different parts of the country are thronging this sacred place to pay obeisance to local deity Shikari Mata.
The Shikari Mata temple is situated in the Seraj Assembly constituency of Mandi district at an elevation of around 11,000 feet above sea level.
This place is blessed with a bounty of nature, which is a major attraction for tourists. In order to develop this place for tourism purpose, the temple has been connected with the road facility. Earlier, this place was not easily accessible to tourists and they had to trek long and tough terrain to reach temple premises.
Shali Tibba
Shali Tibba hill is located in Khatnol village at a height of 2873 m above sea level in Himachal. It is the highest peak in the vicinity of Shimla District. Shali Tibba is 12 km trek which is an easy to moderate grade trek inHimachal. Shali Tibba peak offers a 360-degree view of Kufri, Shimla, Fagu, andNarkanda Hills. Trek to Shali Tibba is a perfect treat for adventure buffs and photography lovers to capture some cool shots for their social media platforms.There is a temple in Shali Tibba peak which is dedicated to Goddess Bhimakaliand it is revered by locals.
